Videoconferencing provides a wide array of benefits — the most obvious being time and cost savings. The time, expense, and fatigue associated with air travel is eliminated while maintaining the benefits of a face-to-face meeting. More people are able to participate because the cost of a videoconference is fixed regardless of how many people attend.
